Objectives
The Foundation aims at achieving better health and welfare for the populace, particularly those who are elderly and the physically or mentally challenged.
This can be achieved by partnering and cooperating or acting harmoniously with public and private organizations and pursuing business in preventative care and treatments for dental disease. This also includes participating in clinical studies, research and educational activities relating to dental health.
Strategies & Activities
1. Preventative care support for the elderly by providing dental checkups and guidance by home visit.
2. Prevention early diagnosis and therapeutic treatment for children, particularly, the physically and mentally challenged.
3. Promotional activities on dental health by sending out dentists in areas where dental treatments are not available.
4. Encouragement and support for research projects and the study of dental health.
5. Promotion of researchers exchange programs both domestically and internationally.
6. Publication and distribution of textbooks; educational pamphlets and posters relating to dental health and the relationship with systemic health.
7. Sponsorship of academic meetings, symposia, workshops and special classes on oral health.
8. Establishment of facilities for dental care and education.
9. Other activities required to achieve the objectives of the Foundation.

"Health and happiness in body and mind" is directly related to oral health. We all wish to keep our teeth throughout our lifetime.
The mission of Sunstar Foundation for Oral Health Promotion is to help everyone wish come true by providing such medical assistance as dental treatments and preventative care while encouraging oral education and research presentations.
The Foundation supports those in need - the elderly, the seriously ill and children.

SUNSTAR and SUNSTAR Foundation recognised the importance of periodontal disease early, having held its first international symposium in 1986 to describe the threat of the condition and discuss possible means to it.
